The Operational Shift Manager will oversee Operations functions to ensure customer satisfaction, productivity; quality and accuracy remain at an efficient and high standard. Provide support and direction at each stage of the distribution process to ensure that daily and weekly targets are achieved and the company's position as a market leader remains. Support the delivery of the day job through proactive communications to other Company departments
Delivery of Operational performance in line with assigned performance metrics and targets
Provide leadership and direction to Line Management
Support Senior Operations Manager with key site projects
Contribute to the strategic development of operational activities including leading site communications across departments
Oversee the distribution processes and methods of operation and make necessary recommendations/amendments for increased efficiency and customer satisfaction
Coordinate the use of automated and computerised warehouse management system
Produce required reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
Lead the delivery of clear and regular communication to all levels and promote the use of team briefs through Supervisors
What you'll need to succeed
You will have a minimum of 2 years experience managing a large team within a computerised warehouse management environment. You must have the proven ability to achieve deadlines and targets as well as the ability to compile and provide detailed reporting to management.
