LOOKING TO KICKSTART A CAREER AS A WELDER?
Southern Regional College (SRC) in conjunction with the Department for the Economy are offering an opportunity for 12 individuals to receive industry standard welding training that will provide them with the skills to take up potential welding roles with three participating companies:
- AJ Power, Craigavon;
- NC Engineering, Hamiltonsbawn; and
- SFM Engineering, Keady.
The Academy consists of a seven week intensive training course during which participants will study a Level 2 City and Guilds Award in MIG Welding Skills.
Following completion of the training, participants will be guaranteed an interview to take up a welding position at one of the participating companies above.
The Academy will be delivered in seven weeks as follows:
- Monday 24th May 2021 to Friday 25th June 2021* - College
- Monday 28th June 2021 to Friday 9th July 2021* - Workplace consolidation
* Please note these dates may be subject to cancellation or change due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation.
All applicants must be at least 18 years old by Monday 24 May 2021 and currently eligible to work in the UK.
