Hays are working on behalf of a leading business in the North West to recruit a Property & Maintenance Administrator to join their team. This company enjoy an excellent reputation locally and has been responsible for the delivery of key regeneration projects within the city.
Your new role
As Property & Maintenance Administrator you will report directly to the CEO of the organisation and be responsible for the following; co-ordinating the repairs and maintenance to properties in a timely fashion. Selecting and instructing appropriate contractors from the Company's Approved List and in line with Procurement policy. Maintaining copies of preferred contractor's Health & Safety policies, licenses and liability insurance certificates and reviewing them annually. Liaising with tenants to ensure access and scheduling arrangements for repairs and inspections. Co-ordinating an effective programme of inspection, including pre and post inspection of selected repairs and inspection of Facilities Maintenance and records of same. Coordinate all statutory inspections for the Company's properties including gas, electrical, lifts, alarms, fire safety and equipment. Ensure all repairs are recorded fully and accurately and closed off when complete. Liaising with Office Co-ordinator on complaints from tenants, referring these to the CEO where appropriate.
What you'll need to succeed
As Property & Maintenance Administrator you must have previous experience in a similar role. Be able to demonstrate knowledge of relevant local and national statutory legislation regarding landlords/tenants and Health & Safety. NEBOSH National diploma is desirable. You must also have excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with key contacts and be proficient in Microsoft suite.
