Application Support Analyst - 6 month Fixed Term Contract

MCS group are delighted to be working exclusively with our client who design and support a range of applications for multiple industries across the UK. Immediate start required for an application support analyst with strong possibilities of a permanent role at the end of the contract.

The role

• You will be supporting pivotal cloud-based applications across a range of platforms including mobile.
• You will be expected to apply a high level of technical and application knowledge to diagnose and resolve customer problems/queries. Remote access is available to the Customer's servers.
• You will be expected to document, troubleshoot, and resolve issues for clients in a fast and efficient manner.
• This a customer focused role and you will liaise with clients daily to resolve issues and identify the causes not just fix the symptoms.
• You will need to proactive more than reactive to the potential issues that can happen, coordinate with other members of the team when appropriate.
• You will be the main point of contact for technical issues and queries and work to set SLA's.
• The role requires working to a rota which alternates on a weekly basis. 8am to 8:30pm Monday to Saturday 9am to 4:30pm on Sundays

The person

• Previous experience in a similar role working with cloud-based applications is essential
• Experience working with different Operating Systems and platforms
• Experience of using incident management systems
• You will need experience with SQL Query, SQL databases, and Microsoft reporting services
• Good communication skills both written and verbal
• Demonstrate a passion for customer service and technology
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging customers
• You will need to be a team player but be confident enough to work independently
